The Whole 30 Challenge Day 5

It was one crazy night at work last night and it filtered into the morning. I stand by my thought that there was a full moon we could not see. I had a good time though getting to see people I hardly ever see anymore. So when my alarm went off at an ungodly time today I wasn’t very happy to be awake, but I also didn’t want to throw my day away. So I slowly crawled out of bed today was a rest day for my exercises except I had to complete 10 lunges and I went ahead and threw in arms and made my awesome eggs for breakfast with some leftover bacon grease. That stuff is GOLD! I was waiting on my eggs to finish cooking and knew I’d be running around today preparing for my week to come. So I decided to come up with another smoothie recipe. I had a spotted banana that I needed to either use or freeze very soon, so I decided to use it and just like that “VIOLA” my new favorite smoothie was born! I call it the Salted Chocolate Banana.

Salted Chocolate Banana

2 tsp coco powder

1 scoop vanilla protein powder

1 spotted banana

3 drops of vanilla extract

a few dashes of cinnamon

1 cup almond milk

1 pinch of salt

4-5 ice cubes

OH MY GOODNESS it was like an explosion of flavors in my mouth and I think cupid was standing by with one of his trusty arrows.

I guess what this shows is that being sleep deprived makes me come up with some amazing recipes. I mean really this is by far the best thing I have ever made! I may be going a little over board but I promise this will not be disappointing. For snacks today I had a cold cut roll up consisting of hard salami, honey ham and honey turkey. 1 slice of each rolled up and devoured.

Dinner is the most exciting part by far. I am going to halve kielbasa and cook them up on the grill meanwhile in my amazing cast iron skillet ( see you really need to invest in one) I will be frying up some green cabbage and combing it to make one amazing dish with a sweet potato on the side. I decided to kick it up a notch and add some fresh garlic in my pan while cooking the cabbage.  So simple yet to very good and good for you. I try my best to use local and organic fruits in veggies as much as possible. It can be expensive but it is worth it to know you are not getting something sprayed with chemicals.
